Breaking Bet is one of the most affordable value bets finders, both for pre-match and in-play sports events.
With this low subscription price, you should expect a lower number of value bets displayed compared to a premium service such as BetBurger.

The main features at BetOnValue are the free service, which displays value bets with a profit of up to 1%. They apply a delay of 20 minutes for free users. It displays free value bets from 23 bookmakers.
It has an odds comparison service where you can expand the list of bookies to show the odds for the same outcome from other operators.

At BetOnValues software, you can narrow displayed opportunities with the filters of nr. of value bets shown, start date, end date, profitability, probability, odds range, required bookies, and sports.

Which are the best free value betting software?
A free value bets finder is a limited version of a premium service that finds overpriced sports wagering markets.
The best value bets finders below are listed based on the usefulness of their free version, despite having some level of limitations:
- RebelBetting: They are offering a 2-week free trial for their services with a 3.5% profit limitation on displayed opportunities. No delays are applied.
- BetBurger: They are offering free value bet services for a profit of up to 2% on each opportunity. A delay of 15 minutes is applied.
- OddsJam is focusing on the US & Canadian value market with a large knowledge base and a 7-day free trial. They apply no profit limitations or delay.
- BetWasp is focusing entirely on the US and Canadian bookmakers. It is the fastest value bet finder for these when using a paid plan. The free plan has no time limits, but the profitability is limited to 2%. A 15-minute delay is applied to each value bet.
How to choose between a paid and a free value betting application?
Below is a short list of the influencing factors for choosing a paid value betting software over a free service:
1. Scanning speed
The refresh rate/scanning speed of each software is different. Some services offer the same speed for their free version as for the paid subscription.
In these cases, the length of the free trial is what limits your possibilities.
Other services, such as BetBurger, have a free version for an unlimited time.
They are focusing on giving access to odds, but with a significant delay in displaying new betting opportunities.
2. Profit margin on value bets
At the moment, 90% of value bet finders have some type of limitation on their free version.
Otherwise, many people would try to exploit the free trials.
One of the most common ones is limiting the maximum profitability of each value bet.
BetBurger is offering value bets with a slight delay (60s) but up to a maximum profit of 2%.
The profit margin and the feed delay have the largest impact on your long-term profitability.
3. Limited number of bookies
This type of free trial is not as common as the above-mentioned differences between a free and paid service.
On the other hand, it might be a crucial point in choosing software over another if you are focusing on bookies that are not available in their free trial.
4. Accuracy
I used all of these scanners, and the one sure thing I can say is that all of them are making mistakes.
Unfortunately, in most cases, this is not their fault.
The bookies can make changes, and the algorithms can malfunction sometimes.
Scanning a bookie with that speed in play is not an easy task. That’s why most of their customers are recurring subscribers.
How were these services tested?
Back in 2013, when I started using odds comparison services and value betting software. I used BetBurger, Rebelbetting, Surebet.com, ArbMate, and BetOnValue for many years.
The value betting software mentioned in this article was tested based on the following criteria:
- Testing scanning speed with the software and the sports event open side by side
- Comparing the scanning speed of each individual software with each other
- Analyzing the list of betting sites scanned and their focus country
- Comparing the user/mobile friendliness of each value bets finder
- Checking the accuracy of each value finder based on a sample of at least 30 bets
- Comparing the number of value bets displayed for the same event
